North Dakota
Over 20 years ago, the Lord presented our parish, and the students and leaders in our youth ministry, with the opportunity to serve Him in a unique ministry partnership with Native Americans living in some of the most economically and spiritually depressed areas of our country. Since then, the Lord has abundantly blessed our labors, initially on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, and then at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in the town of White Shield on the Fort Berthold Reservation in North Dakota. We also had the opportunity to establish another unique ministry partnership with the largely Sudanese refugee congregation of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in Moorhead, Minnesota
New Horizon
As for right now, that ministry has ended with the leaving of Tom Talbot from leadership at St. Johns WINGS. There are, however, still memories from the diary entries and pictures of the 2007 trip. WINGS hopes to begin a new long-term missions trip in the future.
