What is Wings?
As a microcosm of our parish's ministry, we offer our "congregation" a variety of programs and events which encompass praise and worship, prayer and thanksgiving, Christian education, fellowship, evangelism, and mission activities.
What Does Wings Offer?
WINGS offers a full slate of exciting activities designed to meet students' needs wherever they may be in their spiritual walk. Currently, our calendar includes:
- Praise and worship services
- Sunday night meetings (weekly)
- Special events such as the Beach Retreat, Winter Retreats, Lock-In, theme parties, movie nights, Christian concerts, day trips to local attractions or places of interest, "See You at the Pole", and joint activities with other area Christian youth ministries
How Can I Keep Track of What's Going On?
We publish a monthly newsletter which contains a complete listing of all current WINGS activities, a short Bible lesson, prayer requests, and more. The newsletter is mailed to all on the list, to get on the list, go to the contact section and email a leader. WINGS also provides current activities on the website in the calendar section.
Who is Involved with Wings?
The ministry of WINGS would not be possible without the efforts of our Christ-centered, gifted, committed, and enthusiastic staff. At present, we have membership of many St. Johns Patrons, New Life parish members, and St. Micheal the Archangel members.
